This cat!

Finally!  This darn cat (they named her June) has settled in for bed.  At least I think that is what she is doing.  She paces around all day, looks like she wants to play and then runs off.  This evening I think she passed me about ten times while she prepared herself for whatever it is she does at night.  I really hope she is settled now. She is exhausting.  And I am recovering from five days at the kennel.  Can't a dog have some peace?

Kitty came in

Last night the Mrs. let Kitty come in the house.  You know, she should really tell me when she is doing these things.  I didn't even realize she was inside until I heard a little noise.  Then I went to investigate.  When I saw it was Kitty I tried to play, but she ran back out of the house to her garage.  Awwww.  I want to play!

Alone with the Mrs...or not so alone anymore

Everyone has left town.  Well, except the Mrs., that is.  It seems the kids have gone off to their grandparents' and the Mr. off to ride his bicycle for a week.  So.... she came home with a new friend for me.  She hasn't given her a name yet, but it is a very small cat.  I used to know a cat very well, in fact she raised me.  I am not sure this little lady knows what to make of me.  She kind of makes me nervous.  She did not want to play yesterday.  Perhaps today will be different.

Here I am watching the world go by.  I love to sit here.  Look how comfortable it is.  This windowsill is the perfect height for my chin.  I can keep track of the comings and goings of all the neighbors and keep an eye on those strangers that pass by.

It is a good life.

My blanket was washed today!  She took it and threw it in the laundry, she said, and it returned about an hour and a half later!  You should smell it and feel it now!  Wonderful.  I am not sleeping on it at the moment, I am writing of course!  But in a little bit after she puts the light out I will probably snuggle right in and get comfortable.  Right now it smells like the kids' clothes.  Incredible!

Check out a picture of it in earlier posts.  It is a great blanket!

Hey!  It has been a while.  Now Mr. Owner brings me on the trip to take young Ben to school!  I am thrilled!  In fact every time he puts his coat on I can hardly stand it.  I have to figure out which days are school days now.  I had some trouble in the beginning, Mr. Owner did not realize how much I liked being in the car.  I thought we would go on another ride so I waited in the back seat when we returned.  I thought he was kidding when he said it was time to get out.  I finally let him know that I wanted another ride with a little growl.  I have decided a little growl is not the way to go when giving my opinion.  Now he is putting my leash on me and just yanking when he decides the ride is done.  Oh the trevails of a car riding dog.
