That Crate

That crate is freaking me out.  I did well this morning, I was only in for about forty-five minutes.  But later today it was over an hour.  Not much over an hour but it freaked me out anyway.  It is pretty cool the way I impress everyone by sliding the tray at the bottom of the crate out the front of the crate while they are gone.  Yes, I must say that is one of my talents.

Thanksgiving

What a Thanksgiving we had!  We had company, a few of Milt's students came for dinner and spent lots of time visiting.  I got to eat off the china!  Okay...well, I wasn't supposed to but I could not stay away.  Milt's plate was so close to the edge of the table and the temptation was too much.  My tongue could not control itself... I was caught immediately and sent to my pen.  Well worth it though.  Oh yes and the girl visitor thought I was cute!

She is working Late!

Ruff!  Quite a deal.  She comes home late every night!  This job she has is messing with my nights.  Of course the good thing is a rarely have to go in the crate this way!  I am allowed out until she comes home and then she goes to bed without closing me in!  Yipee!  So I guess I can't complain too much.  She comes home, hangs out a while, then goes off to bed.  Then in the morning she gets everyone ready and when they are gone she sleeps for another hour and a half!  So she is all mine for a while!  We just laze around and take it easy.  But she does go out again, running errands and whatnot until the kids come back again.  Then full family fun comes on!  Uh-oh...looks like she is getting ready for bed!  Good night!

Whew! She didn't leave!

Had a little of a panic this morning.  Margaret walked Ben to school (still talking fish).  As they left I thought perhaps she would leave me again for a while...  I waited and waited and there she was again at the door!  Maybe I should have guessed because no one locked me in the pen.  So now I can relax.  At least for a while.  She did say something about going to coffee...

A Long Weekend

Wow what at weekend.  The family went out of town for four days.  This is new for me.  Usually they send me off to the hotel, but this time they had a girl come by and care for me.  She was something special.  I had more walks in the past four days than in the last couple weeks!  She hung out and was here just for me!  The thing is that all the time she wasn't here I spent in my pen.  Secure, yes.  Boring, yes!  I must say I wasn't on my best behavior while she was gone.  There had to be some repairs done to the crate while they were gone.  It sounds like Margaret is going to have to do some vacuuming as well.  The price we pay. 

Fish!

This is getting ridiculous. I can't take any more fish discussion!  In the past three days we have acquired 6 fish!  I am completely outnumbered and I think this entire issue is taking away time from me.  Ben is spending way too much time staring into these little bowls on the table.  Now he is on a constant search for more fish, bigger aquariums and all sorts of fish things.  Fish, fish, fish.

There was a time at the beginning of last year when all I heard about was hermit crabs.  Madeline got some for her birthday.  They do absolutely nothing for me, I have tried to check them out, but they don't do anything and I can never seem to get a good view.  So they don't really bother me.  They are kept in a corner.  

The fish on the other hand are right on the kitchen table.  I hope this is a phase... I can't even see them myself, so who knows what the thrill really is.  Ben did play tonight during my 6:00 crazies so there is still hope.
